AD-3 is combined type distillation equipment. It is designed for producing destilate of brendy and cognac by two technological schemes - by single distillation and by double distillation.
In the case of double distillation, two distillations are performed - first on wine and the obtained raw distillate is distilled into a distillate mainly for high quality cognac.
In a single distillation, a high-alcohol distillate is obtained with one charge, for which purpose an additional strengthening column is included, which according to the chosen method of distillation, is switched on and off by a bypass connection. The process is periodic fractional with separation of three fractions - primary (esteraldehyde), middle (distillate) and final (molasses).
